Ready Dock makes waves in Aysén and abroad
It is evident that the engineers at Ready Dock were avid “lego” builders in their early years. Their childhood ingenuity has resulted in a fruitful business that is now tapping into the aquaculture market and for good reason. The modular design and assembly of a Ready Dock platform allows it to be used as a general work platform, a heliport, a serie of walkways or buoys, a dock, or various other provisory structures needed during farming operations. Part of this innovative company’s agility is seen in its negotiations with materials providers and production plants of their quality designs. The well-known plastics designers, Italstampi and Artigiana Stampi of Italy were contracted to develop all of the models of Ready Dock’s components, and the Chilean plastic company (of German origin) Wenco S.A. produces all of the company’s high-density and high molecular weight plastic modules and components. Ready Dock exports a variety of its products to the U.S., Mexico, Panama, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina and Australia. According to Rafael Vial, project engineer of Ready Dock, “The products are constantly put through rigorous testing for quality control to assure that we are surpassing the highest international standards for quality. Chile is small and we must perform well in the international market.”
