Marine Harvest and Ocea Mercatus extend their co-operation

Marine Harvest has already been using Mercatus software for a number of years, but it will now extend this co-operation globally to include all Marine Harvest locations and divisions. Ocea Mercatus has been given the challenge to provide the best software system in the world for the production, planning and financial management of the world's largest aquaculture company.

- This is a strategically important project that will give us the tools to compare operative results across the company and base improvements on best practice – says Rune Hegrestad, Group Director ITC at Marine Harvest. – Based on available solutions, we concluded that Mercatus software is the only software that can cover the entire value chain without having to develop custom-made solutions – and that fulfilled our expectations and quality specifications.

The agreement covers all Mercatus’ main products, including AquaFarmer, AquaFinance, AquaFuture and Short Term Harvest Planner (STHP). The software will be supported and developed by the head office in Florø as well as through Mercatus Chile.
