Lerøy reports increased Q1 harvest
Fish farming heavyweight Lerøy Seafood Group harvested 39,900 gutted weight tonnes of salmon and trout in Norway in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 1,700 gwt compared to the same period last year.
The figure, included in a trading update, does not include its share of salmon harvested by Scottish Sea Farms, which Lerøy owns 50-50 with fellow Norwegian salmon farmer SalMar.
Lerøy’s Q1 harvest volumes in Norway were:
- Lerøy Aurora (northern Norway): 8,300 gwt (Q1 2025: 7,100 gwt)
- Lerøy Midt (central Norway): 16,000 gwt (16,400 gwt)
- Lerøy Sjøtroll (southern Norway): 15,700 gwt of which 6,100 gwt were trout (14,800 gwt of which 9,500 gwt were trout)
The complete Q1 2026 report, which will include Scottish Sea Farms' harvest volume, will be released on May 12.
