The changes in Landcatch management see Neil Manchester appointed general manager, responsible for all operational, sales and marketing activities in the UK.

Keith Drynan has been appointed as head of broodstock production and David Danson as head of freshwater production. Completing the Landcatch management team are Alan Tinch, and Danny Fulton who will continue in their roles of director of genetics and finance director.

Hugh Currie will retire later this year after a distinguished career of more than 30 years. In the coming months, Hugh will focus his attention on building the firm’s position in the important markets of Chile and Norway, Landcatch said. The company has previously told FishfarmingXpert that its goal for the company is to become global leader in eggs and genetics, and the Norwegian market is therefore very important

Alan Stewart left the company on 29th February. “We are grateful for his dedicated service of more than 30 years and wish him every success in his future endeavours,” Landcatch commented.

Dave Libertini, Vice President, Americas, Hendrix Genetics, which acquired Land catch and Landcatch Natural Selection from Lithgows Limited in June last year said: “I know that our management team is dedicated to develop the business and grow from challenger to champion. I think our customers ultimately will benefit as we move forward.”

“2011 has proven to be a difficult trading year for many in the industry, but we believe that with these changes and the company focusing on customer needs, the future is bright. We are excited about the potential and the possibilities that lie ahead.”
