Omega Tri to AquaGen

Aqua Gen AS has achieved a leading position as a world leading supplier of fertilized eggs of Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout. The breeding company is now delivering genetic material to the global aquaculture industry. Behind this position, is an extensive research and development efforts. Their new workhorse catamaran Omega Tri, will help the Aquagen’s sea-based activities in the future will be done effectively and safely. Omega Tri is the seventh catamaran of the NabCat 1350 model in a row from Moen Marin AS so far in 2014 Omega Tri 13.5 meters long and 7.5 meters wide. The vessel has a total power output of 750 horsepower, divided into two John Deere 6090 engines, two Twin Disc 5114A gears, as well as thrusters from Sleipner. On the deck stands a Palfinger crane 32 ton meter. The vessel has ample hydraulic capacity, with two Parker 105 ccm hydraulic pumps connected in one system. Moen Marins NabCat vessels are designed specifically to serve as feeding and aquaculture service vessels. The catamaran is built in aluminum according to DNV standards.

Moen Marine AS has eight NABCAT 1350 and three NABCAT 1499 in production. Most of the boats are chartered to Norwegian farming - and service companies. Still Moen has vessels ready for deliverance in October 2014, a NabCat 1350, and in March 2015 a NabCat 1499.
