Prices drop 10%
The average price of Norwegian salmon exports fell by 10.31% last week, to NOK 67.38/kg.
While still a very good price, it follows averages of over NOK 78/kg in the two weeks previously, according to Fish Pool.
Export volumes, meanwhile, remained the same for week 28 and week 29, although the latter were 1,301 tonnes lower than in week 29 last year.
Looking ahead, Fish Pool predicts the price/kg will continue to fall to around NOK 55 before bouncing back to around NOK 65 in the build-up to Christmas, then levelling off at around NOK 60 for most of the first half of next year.
