World's largest service vessel commissioned

The new supply vessel, a Macho 40, will be 40m long by 12m wide and it is due to be delivered in late 2015.

The vessel was designed by Møre Maritime AS in Kristiansund and represents a further development of a Macho 25 which was contracted by the same company in December last year and which will soon be ready for handover from Slettafossen Boatyard.

Sletta Verft earlier this year signed contracts for the construction of several catamarans for Frøy Akvaservice AS for delivery in 2015 and, together with the current contract, this represents deliveries worth about NOK 100 million for the two companies owned by Helge Gåsø.

The shipyard is now fully booked for 2015.
