Want to patent ISA vaccine
This disease was detected for the first time in Chile in July of 2007 and has caused major damages and losses to the companies.The news, published by La Tercera, added that the first batch of this medicine is practically sold and because of that, the company –owned by the businessman Alejandro Weinstein– would be preparing a second one. The new product of the Chilean laboratory has a polyvalent character, which allows to protect to the species of different pathologies. Besides ISA, this new product also protects against salmon rickettsial syndrome (SRS), Infectious Pancreatic Necrosis (IPN) and Vibrio Ordalli. The vaccine has been proved in a controlled environment, showing an efficiency rate of over 80%.
