US increase
The price is 1.4 per cent above the previous week but is 22.6 per cent lower than in the same week of 2014 (US$ 4.52) and 34.8 per cent below that seen in the same week of 2013 (US$ 5.37).
According to the weekly report published by SalmonEx, the price in the Brazilian market experienced a 1 cent increase in week 29. Fish of 10-12lb (~4.5-5.4kg) averaged US$ 5.05/kg.
Meanwhile, in the Japanese market, the average price of both frozen HG coho salmon and frozen HG trout remained unchanged. The price of both products averaged ¥ 660 (US$ ~5.32) per kg.
