Undersecretary of Fisheries supports GOAL conference
The aquaculture consultant and representative of GOAL 2011, Adolfo Alvial, stressed that this is a great timing for this conference, considering that the Chilean salmon industry has shown evidence of overcoming the crisis caused by the ISA virus.
Likewise, Pablo Galilea commented that this would be a huge opportunity for this sector, to show its experience and share it future vision with representatives of aquaculture industries from other countries.
Among other topics it will be discussed how to double the aquaculture production in a responsible way within the next 10 years in order to meet the projected demand.
GOAL 2011 will be held November 6-9 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Santiago. This conference is co-hosted by the Chilean Undersecretariat of Fisheries and SalmonChile, and sponsored by ProChile and a variety of international companies.
