Two apprentice opportunities

Published Modified

Offering a salary of £14,500 per annum, the scheme runs over two years and candidates will have the opportunity to obtain a permanent role on completion of training at any of the company’s locations. During the placement candidates will undertake a mixture of formal training, practical work experience and in-house training in all aspects of the aquaculture industry.

Successful candidates must be reliable, trustworthy, organised and highly motivated with an eagerness to be successful. They must also be team players and have a responsible attitude to health & safety.

It is essential that applicants have (or expect to gain) standard grades or equivalent in English, mathematics and a science subject and they will be required to work towards a Level 2 SVQ in aquaculture. They will also be expected to either hold a current driving licence or obtain their driving licence before the end of their apprenticeship.

Those interested should apply in writing, no later than 26 June, to: Vicky Ferguson, Human Resources Manager, Marine Harvest (Scotland) Ltd, Stob Ban House, Glen Nevis Business Park, Fort William, PH33 6RX.
