Total vaccine sales to salmon reached a stable level

According to figures from Pharmaq, it has been a substantial annual growth in vaccine sales over ther last years from 205 million doses sold in 2006 to today's level at 303 million doses/year per September 2012. In September sales of vaccines for salmon were 25.0 million doses compared to 24.4 million doses in September 2011. Most of this month's sales have been administered to the S1s-2013. How many S0s-2011 going to sea this year is too early to say, but based on accumulated vaccines sales it is reasonable to believe it will end close to last year's S0-release of 127 million salmon smolt (Kontali Analysis) .In September 7.9 million doses of PD-vaccine were sold compared to 4.6 million doses in September 2011 and the twelve months rolling sales are 112.7 million doses.For trout vaccine sales were 2.1 million doses in September compared to 3.4 million doses in September 2011. This is a stable segment with little variation seen over the past years. The twelve months rolling sales of oil-based vaccines are 17.8 million doses.The last four months have shown a positive development in sales of vaccines for cod. In September 800 000 vaccine doses were ordered compared to 120 000 doses in September 2011.
