Suspect sites of ISA have increased up to 21 farms
According to Sernapesca, there is only one case of outbreak in the country, affecting the same site all this time. This site is located in the 12th Region and belongs to Acuimag. Sernapesca also describes 17 suspect sites of HPR0 (non virulent strain) mainly located in the 11th Region and belonging to the salmon producing companies Cupquelán, Aquimag, Pesquera Los Fiordos, Salmones Itata, Mainstream, Australis, Granja Marina Tornagaleones, Salmones Magallanes and Nova Austral. Four of those sites are being harvested and the rest still holds fish. Besides, another four suspect sites are currently waiting for genetic sequencing.
Meanwhile, the number of freshwater facilities positive to ISA virus according to the screening analysis to broodstock has remained in 4 sites within this period.
Likewise, the report details that there are two farming sites under sanitary fallow (which were previously outbreaks or suspect sites, but are currently without fish); and no sites in category of risk (without presence or manifestation of clinical disease but located within an infected area).
