Stable Chilean salmon prices

Christian Pérez The average price of US$ 4.51 per pound in week 38 represents a 1.5 per cent or 7 cents decrease compared to the previous week. It is also 4.4 per cent lower than the price observed in the same week of 2013 (US$ 4.72). According to the weekly report published by SalmonEx, the Brazilian market stayed stable. The size 10-12, being the most representative, reached US$ 6.55/kg, the same price as last week. In the Japanese market, the price of Coho went up slightly, while trout prices did not change. The first reached 810 yen/kg, 5 yen higher than last week, while the second averaged 850 yen/kg. *C+F: cost and freight.
