
Shortlist for Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards announced
53 entries have so far been shortlisted for the 2011 Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards, representing some of Scotland’s finest food and drink products and businesses. Shortlisted seafood companies include Grieg Seafood Hjaltland UK Limited – Wild Waters Smoked Salmon & Gravadlax; Moray Seafoods Ltd – Shellfish & Seafood Range; St James’ Smokehouse – St James Scotch Reserve Smoked Salmon Range; and Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd – Loch Fyne Citrus & Black Pepper Infused Scottish Smoked Salmon; as well as the Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation.
The winners will be unveiled at an awards ceremony at the Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro Hotel on Thursday 26 May. Guests will enjoy a special menu designed by renowned Scottish chef, Nick Nairn and the event will be hosted by a mystery compère from the food and drink world.
2011 marks the fifteenth year of the Excellence Awards which are jointly organised by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland and Scotland Food & Drink.
