Sharp increase in supply of salmon feed

In total the sales of salmon feed peaked at 1 370 000 tons delivered from Norwegian feed suppliers, an increase of 16% from 2008. The import of feed from foreign suppliers increased by 14% and peaked at 21 000 tons.

In December 2009 alone the sales exceeded 130 000 tons an increase of 35 % compared to December 2008, shows figures from the Norwegian Fisheeries and Aquaculture Association FHL.
