The salmon divisions of AquaChile, Multiexport, Camanchaca, Los Fiordos, Australis Seafoods, Invermar and Blumar experienced gross losses of US$ 277.3 million in 2012, representing a significant decline compared with the gross profit of US$ 220.6 million obtained by these same companies in the previous year. Among other data reported by these firms to the Chilean Securities and Insurance Supervisor or SVS, while AquaChile had the highest gross profit (US$ 91.56 million) and Camanchaca the largest gross losses (US$ - 5.99 million) in 2011; in 2012 Camanchaca had the lowest losses (US$ -18.82 million) and Australis Seafoods the largest losses (US$ -61.57 million).
