Scots salmon firm excited by NASF debut
The UK delegation represents enterprises with total annual turnover around £ 6.3 billion, including £2.75 billion of imported seafood raw materials. Most of the firms represent fish processing industry, while others come from the aquaculture, seafood import, processing equipment and service sectors.
All the 5 major Scottish aquaculture companies will be attending, representing an industry that produces +150,000 tonnes per year and supports as many as 8,000 Scottish jobs and contributes a turnover up to £1.4 billion for Scotland.
Craig Anderson, MD of the Scottish Salmon Company, reflects: “This will be our first time at NASF and we’re looking forward to meeting our industry peers, especially from the salmon sector. We’re particularly looking forward to our involvement in the Pareto Corporate Seafood Finance Seminar on Thursday 5th March.”
