Salmon industry donated almost USD 1 million
SalmonChile’s contribution included transportation of 10 million liters of water (equivalent to USD 363,500); 100 thousand meals based on salmon (valued in USD 422,000) and USD 196.500 cash.
This donation was symbolically delivered by the SalmonChile’s chairman and vicepresident, César Barros and Víctor Hugo Puchi, respectively. In the Telethon Theatre and after he gave this donation Barros expressed that although the current situation faced by the sector that he represents “the industry has stood up as a single person to contribute in this solidary crusade”.
