Salmon from ISA outbreak in Chiloé already harvested

Christian Pérez Interim director of the National Service of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Sernapesca), Cecilia Solís, reported that all fish from the two cages affected with an outbreak of ISA virus in the farming site "Traiguén 1" belonging to Invermar were harvested by last Thursday January 30th. "The entire operation was performed in accordance to the biosecurity measures established in the Chilean regulation at all times and under supervision of Sernapesca officers," she added. This procedure started last Tuesday night and lasted for just a few days. However, the preventive sanitary campaign implemented last Monday January 27th is still in place. Sernapesca confirmed this ISA outbreak last Monday and informed that corresponds to the virulent strain HPR 7B. The farming site "Traiguén 1" is located in neighborhood 9, in the Chiloé Island.
