Salmon fishers say they fear for future of salmon river

An angling support group claimed that already rainbow trout were escaping from existing farm pens and devouring baby salmon on the important Argyll river, the Press and Journal reports.

To illustrate this point the Salmon and Trout Association (Scotland) this week issued a photograph of a trout caught on the River Awe that had a salmon parr in its stomach when gutted.
