Salmon exports increased 52% by September

Likewise, the results obtained by the local salmon industry in September 2011 (US$ 220 million) were 75.2% higher compared to those returns obtained in the same month of 2010 (US$ 126 million) according to the monthly report of external trade prepared by the Chilean General Directorate of International Economic Relations (Direcon).

Direcon also explains that all the Chilean exports totalized US$ 61,911 million up to September this year, representing an increase of 20.% compared to the same period of 2010, when the country exported products for US$ 51,251.
