Salmon exports for USD 1,190 million as of August
Besides, the National Statistics Institute of Chile (INE), published that in the same month there was a significant increase in the coho salmon production, while the exports of Atlantic salmon and Rainbow trout experienced a downtrend (- 6.1%).
Likewise, the National Customs Service detailed that the exports of Atlantic salmon totalized USD 59.5 million in August, out of which USD 46.7 million were exported from the 10th Region (The Lakes) and USD 7.4 million from the 11th Region (Aysén).
In terms of value, according to the International Monetary Fund the index price for salmon experienced a 29.4% increase in a twelve-month comparison.
