SalMar purchase Bringsvor Laks

Bringsvor Laks owns and operates two farming licenses outside Sandsøya, in the Ålesund area in the Møre og Romsdal County, Norway.

The company has no smolt or harvesting facilities. Bringsvor Laks plans to harvest about 1 800 tonnes gutted weight in 2011, mainly in the first half of the year. Purchase price for the shares is set to NOK 141 million. The transaction is scheduled to be completed in the beginning of April and is subject to approval from the Norwegian Competition Authority.
