The figures represent a 2.2 per cent increase compared to that result recorded in the first eight months of 2013 (US$ 2,274.55 million), according to figures from the Central Bank of Chile.
Chile exported US$ 2,022.69 million in salmon products (Atlantics and cohos) up to August 2015. This is a decrease of almost US$ 389 million or 16.1 per cent compared to the first eight months of 2014.
Likewise, Chilean exports of rainbow trout totalled US$ 302.68 million in the first eight months of this year, representing a decrease of US$ 169 million or 35.8 per cent compared to the same period of 2014.
