Sergey Dankvert, Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, met Aníbal Ariztía, national director of the Chilean Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG) last week. In the meeting, both parties talked about the chance of increasing salmon imports from Chile.

According to the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, both parties discussed about an eventual increase in the Chilean salmon shipments to Russia if that country decide to restrict seafood imports from Norway.

Rosselkhoznadzor would have previously shown their concern about the sanitary quality of those seafood products received from Norway and has announced that will study the chance to restrict those seafood imports.
