Roe imports decreased 33 percent in Chile

Christian Pérez According to a report recently published by the Chilean Under-Secretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Subpesca), the Chilean salmon industry has imported 25.7 million Rainbow trout eggs from Denmark up to November this year as well as 26.6 million Atlantic salmon eggs from Iceland. Regarding the local production of roe, Chile has produced 579.8 million eggs up to October this year. In October, the local salmon industry produced 28.1 million eggs of Atlantic salmon (32.9%) and Rainbow trout (67.1%).
