Rise in vaccine sales

According to figures from Pharmaq 123.5 million vaccine doses have been sold from September 2010 to the end of January 2011. According Kontali Analysis 14.8 million fish vaccinated in September 2010 belong to the S1 2011 generation. For comparison, in the same period 106.5 million of the S1 2010 were vaccinated. It is too early to give any estimate of the total S1 2011 production, but vaccine sales as a parameter give an indication of further increase in 2011. The sales of vaccine including ISA component were 2.3 million doses and sales of PD vaccine ended at 5.8 million doses. After a stable period since August 2010 the sales of vaccines for farmed cod fell further from 5.8 million doses to a level of 4.6 million doses measured as the average yearly sales.
