Restrictions in use of fish for fish feed
The new regulations can stop the salmon industry from further growth, says NSL (Norwegian Seafoods Association) in a message. Each year the salmon industry in Norway processes 30 000 - 40 000 tons of fish in the category 2 (fish which is killed because of illness, or which is self dead). The Norwegian authorities Mattilsynet have followed up the EU regulations and forbid the process industry to process fish from catagory 2.
