Christian Pérez According to the company, the reasons for this positive result are: increased harvests of Atlantic salmon and Rainbow trout, partially offset by lower average prices seen for Coho salmon and Rainbow trout during Q1 2013 compared to the same period of the previous year. Itemized by specie, AquaChile recorded an EBIT pre fair value adjustment of US$ -1.15 per Kg WFE of Atlantic salmon; of US$ -1,51 per Kg WFE of Rainbow trout; and of US$ -0,24 per Kg WFE of Coho salmon. Likewise, the company sold 6,221 tonnes WFE of Atlantic salmon in Q1 2013, 11,206 tonnes WFE of Rainbow trout and 11,683 tonnes WFE of Coho salmon. These figures represent a 150 percent increase in the sales of Atlantic salmon compared to Q1 2012. The group Empresas AquaChile posted profits of US$ 6.23 million in Q1 2013.
