The framework has been developed to reflect the evolving needs of the business and it also aims to support staff retention and attract new talent to the business.

The company’s model is built around three fundamental building blocks, including a customised training programme of internal and external courses. It was developed in partnership with Dr Brendan Gara of SkillFish and reflects the company’s commitment to educational excellence. It measures staff competence, knowledge, performance and approach.

Craig Anderson, Managing Director at the Scottish Salmon Company, said: “We have developed this innovative framework not only to guarantee that we are attracting the best possible talent to our business, but also to ensure we are providing our teams with optimum training and development opportunities and identifying clear progression routes for career development.

“We will continue to revise our training plans and framework to ensure that the Scottish Salmon Company is an industry leader in staff training and development and to give us a competitive edge as the aquaculture industry continues to grow and develop.”
