Price up

Last week the price of fresh gutted salmon raised by 3,43 NOK per kilo according to Akvafakta. Its up from 22,29 NOK/kg in week 40 to 25,72 NOK/kg week 41. This is average prices FCA Oslo. By the end of week 40 this year, the total export of farmed Norwegian salmon reached 842 000 tons, an increase of 23,3 % from the same period 2011. According to the Fishpool forward price index this trend will last. The forward price for January 2013 shows 30,5 NOK per kilo of salmon.
