Price decrease continues in the US
The price is 23.3 per cent lower than in the same week of 2014 (US$ 4.72) and 32.3 per cent below that seen in the same week of 2013 (US$ 5.35).
According to the weekly report published by SalmonEx, the price in the Brazilian market remained unchanged. Fish of 10-12lb (~4.5-5.4kg) reached US$ 4.77/kg, the same as the previous week.
Meanwhile, in the Japanese market, the average price of both frozen HG coho salmon and frozen HG trout went down by ¥ 15. The former reached ¥ 650 (US$ ~5.32)/kg, while the later averaged ¥ 660 (US$ ~5.40)/kg.
