AquaChile reported profits of US$ 19.3 million and Ebitda of US$ 50.2 million in the first half-year. These results respond to harvest of 29 000 tonnes of salmon and trout (wfe) and 10 000 tonnes of tilapia (wfe).

Meanwhile, Multiexport posted EBIT of US$ 39.5 million and sales of US$ 159 million, results that represent increases of 373% and 57%, respectively, compared to the same period of 2010.

Multiexport also reported harvests of 16,461 tonnes of Atlantic salmon in the period.

Finally, the “salmon index” of the Santiago Stock Exchange (SSE) has increased 7.57% in the past 7 days. This “salmon index” has experienced the strongest increase in the last week compared to indexes representing other economic sectors (retail, construction, industrial, banking, commodities, etc.).
