Paltry price improvement

The rise was the second to occur in consecutive weeks, but equated to only €0.03 per kilo, with salmon recording an average price of €4.07 per kg.

In terms of export volume, the amount was similar to the previous week, but down 1,593 tonnes compared to week 40 last year.

According to Fish Pool predictions, prices are expected to rise continuously for the next few months, peaking at €5.30 per kilo in January 2015.
