Organizers postponed AQUA SUR 2010
Their decision, which was been taken together with Governmental and industrial representatives, as well as customers and leading industry players is based on the following reasonings "today, the priority of all the Chilean people is rebuilding our country (...) understanding the painful and difficult time that thousands of Chileans are going through at present —which not only caused the death of hundreds of the country’s inhabitants but also left many others homeless or with significant losses— TechnoPress considers that today they are the first priority and that we must focus all our energies on them" the company expressed.
Therefore, organizers detailed that AQUA SUR 2010 will be held in the second half year (tentatively between October 27 and 30), when Chile will be partially recovered from the impact of the quake regarding both, people’s frame of mind and the country’s infrastructure "in order to host an international meeting of this magnitude" they said.
On the other hand, the AQUA SUR Conference organized by Fundación Chile has also been postponed to the same date.
