New Managing Director of Pharmaq

Ben North has an extensive background in aquaculture, represented by both his formal education and by practical experience. He has been working with Pharmaq since 2006 and held the position as Technical Support Scientist until July 2009. His responsibilities in this period included the provision of technical support on all Pharmaq products including vaccination audits and staff training, vaccination side-effects monitoring, sea lice treatment monitoring, disinfection protocols and efficacy testing. Since July 2009 Ben has held the position as Operation Manager in Pharmaq.

Before joining Pharmaq Ben North worked as a Post-Doctorate Researcher at the University of Stirling, where he also undertook his Ph.D investigating interactions between husbandry factors such as stocking density and water quality on fish welfare. Ben has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and books.
