New life for Fife
Douglas Chapman, MP for Dunfermline and West Fife, told Fish Farming Expert: "I am delighted to welcome more jobs to Rosyth and as orders grow, see the continued success of Marine Harvest in West Fife. We are all very ambitious for their Rosyth plant and we know there is great potential to build on those jobs already won.
“The investment Marine Harvest has committed to West Fife ensures that the quality of product is maintained at the highest standard from the start of the process to the product on the shelf and locally, we hope that's a recipe for future success."
The views of the SNP politician are understandable, given that the contract award is expected to boost the numbers of people employed at Marine Harvest’s Admiralty Park processing unit from their current level of around 90 to at least 350 in the coming months.
