New Chief Executive in SSPO
According to a press release from SSPO, Mr Landsburgh joined the food sector in 1984 when he became Director, and then Managing Director, of a retail food business. He said: "As aquaculture is now the fastest growing sector in the global production of food, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help build on the social, economic and environmental performance of the Scottish salmon industry. "This is a particularly opportune moment to be joining the industry, with the Scottish Government's Food and Drink Policy and Marine Bill under review," he added. Professor Phil Thomas, Chairman of SSPO, said: "I am delighted to welcome Scott Landsburgh to the salmon industry at this exciting and challenging time. His twenty-five years experience in the food and drink sectors will be extremely valuable.
