Multiexport tops Chile's smoked salmon sales

Christian Pérez According to the company's most recent quarterly report, they exported 37 per cent of all the Chilean smoked salmonids in the period. The second largest smoked salmon producer in the country was Ventisqueros, with exports worth almost US$ 9.8 million in the period, followed by Cermaq Chile, with international smoked sales worth over US$ 3.7 million. Marine Harvest Chile and Primar exported smoked salmonids worth roughly US$ 1.9 million apiece.

In total, the country's salmon producing companies exported around US$ 35.9 million worth of smoked products in the first six months of this year.
