Multiexport reports best results ever
The company exported 35,000 tonnes of salmonids worth US$ 279 million last year, representing increases of 15 percent and 38 percent compared to 2010, respectively. According to Multiexport, these figures are the result of volume and productive recovery together with higher prices during most of 2011.
Likewise, the company reports an EBIT before fair value adjustments of US$ 56.3 million, which represents a 96% increase compared to the US$ 28.7 million of 2010. Meanwhile, EBITDA before fair value adjustments was US$ 68.3 million in 2011.
Finally, Multiexport was the largest Atlantic salmon exporter in the country last year, species that represents close to 80% its product mix.
