Multiexport posts sales of US$ 215 million, up 50%
The salmon division of Multiexport Foods has also posted an EBIT of US$ 10.67 million in Q3 2011 and an EBIT of US$ 59.65 million YTD which compares positively to the US$ 24.86 million accumulated to September 2010 by the company.
Likewise, Salmones Multiexport has posted an operational EBIT/product sold (USD/Ton WFE) of US$ 1.66 in Q3 2011 and of US$ 2.01 YTD. Besides, the company reports an operational EBIT for Atlantic salmon (USD/Ton WFE) of US$ 1.71 in Q3 2011 and of US$ 2.22 YTD.
Atlantic salmon harvest for the quarter was 6,986 tonnes, totaling 23,446 tonnes at the end of third quarter of 2011. Salmones Multiexport claims to be the major Chilean producer of this species which accounts for 80% of its total production. Moreover, the company expects to achieve total harvests (salmon and trout) around 34,000 tonnes by the end of this year.
