Multiexport posted profits for USD 15.4 million in the first half-year
Likewise, Multiexport reported consolidated profits for USD 9.14 million in 2Q 2010, representing a significant increase compared to the losses for USD 24.25 million that they obtained in the same period of the last year. Moreover, they had an EBIT of USD 20.58 million in the first half-year, while they got a negative EBIT for USD -55.42 million in the same period of 2009.
Meanwhile and according to the data provided by Multiexport to the Chilean Securities and Insurance Supervisor (SVS), the company sold 9,950 tonnes WFE of Rainbow trout in the period and 6,962 tonnes WFE of Atlantic salmon, which increased their sales by USD 11.8 million compared to the first half-year of 2009, totalizing USD 101.5 million in the period.
