Multiexport had earnings for USD 19 million as of 3Q 2010
The cumulative EBIT obtained by Multiexport as of September this year was USD 32.06 million, figure mainly explained by the high margins experienced by the sale of Atlantic salmon due to increased average prices and improved production levels.
Likewise, according to the company, its operational EBIT was USD 18.41 million which compares favorably to the negative result obtained as of September 2009 (USD -40.83 million).
The sold volume as of September this year was 21 989 tonnes, itemized in 11 460 tonnes of Atlantic salmon and 10 529 tonnes of Rainbow trout. Meanwhile, in 3Q the sold volume was 5 077 tonnes from which the main bulk consisted of Atlantic salmon (4 498 tonnes) due to the seasonable production and sale of Rainbow trout.
