New well boat from Aas

Norway: Bømlo Brønnbåtservice AS recently received the new vessel Øysund. This is the 13th Well the boat that comes from Aas Mek. Workshop AS to Bømlo Brønnbåtservice AS.

The boat is equipped and arranged especially for keeping live fish in a closed system with no discharge of water during transport, as well as transport with open wells and UV-treatment. The boat is arranged for grading, smolt transport, delousing filter for collecting lice and UV-treatment of all circulating water. The load capacity is 1800 m3 in two cargo holds separated with a sliding bulkhead. Its also equipped with a system of pressure loading and unloading system up to seven meters altitude..

Filter and UV plant has capacity to treat all circulating water by UV enclosed transport, smolt transport, delousing, etc. The circulatory system is also arranged with their own filter for collecting lice in connection with the delousing. All wastewater from lice filters runs through band filter for separation of dry substance / lice and further UV treatment of the purified wastewater. All lice are collected in container disposed on board or delivered to shore for analysis. Designated system is installed for monitoring oxygen levels and water quality in the well, production and mixing of oxygen in the cargo hold, ozone disinfection equipment and cargo piping system and also the water in the hold which have been in contact with the fish after unloading. For transport with closed system the water is treated and degassed for removing CO2 and for the regulation of PH. All systems, machinery, monitoring and the like are remotely controlled and logged from the bridge via automatic systems. The vessel is also equipped with light and underwater cameras for monitoring of the fish in the cargo holds during loading and transportation. For cleaning and disinfection of the cargo piping system its fitted with a automatic washing -and disinfection system, as well as manual pressure washers and ozone disinfection system.
