Technical specifications: Length: o.a. 69.86 m, Width: 12.00 m Depth: 5.90 m. Cargo volume: 1800 m3 Capacity live fish:270 tonnes Cargo room is divided in two fish wells, which is equipped with sliding bulkhead and pressure loading and unloading system. The boat will have fittings for 10 people.

The new vessel will be design according to the standards of type AAS 1802 ST with a load capacity of 1800 m3 and specifically customed for the specifications from the well boat owner with lateral circulation in cargo holds and closed containment during transportation. The new vessel will be delivered in April 2016. Hulls for new building will be built abroad and will come to our yard in October / November next year for outfitting.

The boat is arranged for transporting live salmon in open as well as closed system and additionally equipped with UV system for water purification for semi-closed transport, where all water in or out of the cargo holds is filtered and disinfected by UV treatment. The new boat will further be equipped with filter systems on all circulation of purifying water before UV treatment, seperating sea lice after delousing treatment, for draining of seawater and freshwater during loading and unloading in connection with delousing and AGD treatment using fresh water. The new vessel is designed to load and unload cargo by using pressure, not vacuum pumps. This is a method which has proved to be the most gentle to the fish. This is the 12th new building Aas Mek builds for Sølvtrans AS.
