There will also be presentations from feed manufacturer BioMar, the Fish Vet Group, drug maker Elanco and genetics company Xelect.

Companies including the Scottish Salmon Company, Dawnfresh, Scottish Sea Farms, Cooke, Gael Force Group, Hendrix Genetics, Pharmaq and Steinsvik will have stalls in the Pathfoot Building of the University’s Institute of Aquaculture to show potential employees what they can offer in an increasingly technical and sophisticated industry.

Marine Scotland Science, the Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organisation and the European Aquaculture Society will also be represented, along with the Scottish Aquaculture Innovation Centre, which is the event’s main sponsor.

It is the fifth edition of the event, which attracts aquaculture students from around the UK and is organised by the Aquaculture Students’ Association.
