Young's cook in the bag fillets worth £6 million

It offers fillets of salmon, haddock and cod, flavoured with natural butters, each packed in an individual bag to be conveniently cooked without any messy preparation. What’s unique about the Young’s product is its ‘two way cook’ option - which means it can be cooked from frozen either in the oven (for instance alongside oven chips) or in just four minutes using the microwave for ultimate speed. Marketing controller for Young’s Natural Fish, Peter Elvin, said:  “Research tells us that consumers would love to eat more fish but many don’t have the confidence to cook and handle it. They are however looking for inspiring meal ideas that are really quick to prepare, taste great and offer good value, hence this new range.” He added  “This product delivers on every level in terms of taste, convenience and simple good food. We expect it will add £6 million value to the frozen fish category over the coming year.”

There are four ‘Cook in the Bag’ varieties, all priced at £2.99 for a 250g pack, including two Wild Pink Salmon Fillets with Garlic & Herb Butter.
