Wrasse project nominated for award

The University of Stirling, Marine Harvest Scotland and Scottish Sea Farms Ltd has been nominated for the Scottish Enterprise Scottish Life Sciences Awards 2014  in the category “Commercial collaboration”. There are four other contender for this award including Landcatch Natural Selection in collaboration with The Roslin Institute.

Leading Scottish salmon producers Marine Harvest Scotland Ltd in collaboration with Scottish Sea Farms Ltd and scientists from the Institutes' Reproduction & Genetics group have been working on developing protocols and technology to farm wrasse and implement results in the Scottish salmon industry.

The award cermony will take place on Thursday 6th February 2014 in the Lennox Suite at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
