Ventisqueros expects to double its production

The company expects to double its current production (20 000 tonnes) by the year 2013. Likewise, Ventisqueros expects to produce around 34 000 tonnes next year.

In order to achieve this significant growth, the company is going to invest US$ 70 million in 3 new freshwater facilities and 6 new farming sites, reports El Mercurio.

Andrés Fletcher also commented that his company expects to include Atlantic salmon within their product mix, which is currently composed by Rainbow trout (60%) and Coho salmon (40%).
